Do you? If so, then why is it when I ask questions about MFSL, MOFI, MVI, or SACD no one but Vaportrails and I seem to know anything about these wonderful hi-fidelity items? A month or so ago I asked about SACD and no one even knew what it was. Earlier I asked about MOFI and MFSL and VT is the only one that responded. If your into music you people MUST start getting into these hi-fidelity products! You wouldn’t believe the difference in the sound. I know some of you may be to young to buy these high end products. But you should still know about them.

Sorry to rant and rave like this. I just hate to see another music fan miss out on such great hi-fidelity masterpieces.

Vickey- I knew the question title would get attention. I hoped anyway. Like I said in my statement that I know some people can’t afford some of the stuff. You all should be versed in it though. Trust me… It is good for things besides classical. Megadeath has a MOFI cd and RUSH and Pink Floyd has them as well. Pink Floyd, Godsmack , Alice in chains, and others have SACD’s as well. RUSH has an MVI disc.

Well Cookie Cutter if you WERE versed in this stuff you would know I am not talking just about equipment. MOFI cd’s are not equipment. They are high quality CD’s. I also didn’t say that you are not a music fan… I said if you do consider yourself a music fan why do you not know about this stuff and I have got answers. I would agree that music can be played on LP or mp3 player and it is still great. You DO need to Feel music and I can tell you SIR… You haven’t FELT music until you have heard Dark Side of the Moon on SACD or RUSH Snakes and Arrows on MVI so loud it peels your fu*king face off! So to you sir I think YOUR post is one of the most ridiculous I have seen in a long time. You posted with out fully understanding anything I was saying.
And actually Cookie Cutter you speak of LP hitting the true Highs and Lows. SACD is the only format out that can push “ALL AUDIBLE” HIGHS AND LOWS. Actually it hits ranges that are non-audible to the human ear it is so detailed. I do have LP’s and I know they are great. The truth is that, yes, most average fans will not here all the detail I do. The point is these hi-fidelity products DO produce better sound quality than ANYTHING else; including LP. Various bands have done these fromats with the same compliments about them… They let the fans finally hear the music the way the bands intended.
When did a CD become a “gadget”?

I can see this is going no where. If any of you people heard a SACD or Gold Disc before you would understand.

There is pop music playing everywhere. But many “music junkies” criticize modern pop. Are they right? Pop music seems very simple in many cases. It also seems to focus more on the artist than the music itself. In addition a lot of music is very sex-based (Britney Spears’ newest album). I feel that all music has some artistic value but with so much music out there is modern pop really worth investing your time in?

I know some people have started as soon as they found out.. But I am not going to walk around with headphones on my belly for 9 months.. lol. So what do you think is a good month to start playing it music at?

Also what are some good songs and such to play it…. I have no idea about classical music.
